Joyce Hudman
Brazoria County Clerk*

A Division of the County of Brazoria

Elected by the people of Texas in 1999 as the County Clerk for Brazoria County, Joyce Hudman serves as the county's official keeper of municipal records.  Joyce was an employee of the Brazoria County Clerk's Office for 3 years prior to being elected, giving her over 17 years of hands on experience in all areas of the County Clerk's Office.

The Real Property Records Department of the Brazoria County Clerk's Office records and retains real property deeds and plat maps. Additional services are provided at this office. See their website for more information.

The County Clerk's office employs 49 people and has four office locations throughout the county. The main office is located in Angleton and is housed in the East Annex building, commonly known as "the old Wal-Mart building." Services provided by this location include:

Brazoria County Engineer*

A Division of the County of Brazoria

Mr. Gerald Roberts was appointed as the Brazoria County Engineer by Commissioner’s Court on February 1, 2002.  Mr. Roberts retired from Dow Chemical Company in 2007 after 23 years of service. Roberts also served for two terms as the Mayor of Angleton, first from 1990-1993, and then again from 1998 to May 2002. 

The Brazoria County Engineer's office has a staff of 12 and Roberts also has oversight of the Brazoria County Road and Bridge Crews which employ 160 people. Roberts has over 10 years of hands on experience in at the County Engineer's Office.
